Eastmont Pre-School was fortunate to be selected as a recipient of a Federal Community Development Grant, and one of the projects we have chosen to devote these funds to is an exciting upgrade to our outdoor play space!
After much planning and coordination on the part of Eastmont’s Committee of Management, works are now scheduled to commence over the Term 3 holidays.
The revamped play space will be engaging and interactive for the children. Some of our much loved but rather tired wooden equipment will be removed to make way for exciting new play experiences, including:
- An interactive activity fort with a rock climbing wall, scramble net, slide and ladder
- A movable wooden boat
- A dry creek bed with a wooden bridge, great for adventures and imaginative play.
Additionally, the retaining wall and some of the plants across the front of the kinder will be removed to open this area up. This area will be reshaped and replanted, giving the children more space to play.
We can’t wait to see the children’s faces light up when they return from the break!
